Mexico has witnessed an increase in exports, particularly to Asia, mainly due to the consumption of this product and its several applications.

Mexico is the second biggest exporter of the pecan nut, with a boost of 112% in the past 10 years.

Pecans have multiple uses: bakery, candy and snacks, as well as drinks and infusions that many cultures have incorporated to their cuisine.

While the main season is linked to the last quarter of the year, it’s thanks to the pecan’s characteristics that it is possible to find it virtually at any time of the year.

Tariffs and regulations especially in Asian markets have allowed the Mexican pecan nut to be not only a viable, but a very attractive alternative, that fosters commercial cooperation.
